Resources for Stroke Survivors and Caregivers
Acute RehabilitationAcute rehabilitation is a specialty that provides an intensive inpatient program to enable people who have experienced some major injury, disorder or illness to regain the skills needed to return to the community. Subacute RehabilitationSubacute rehabilitation is designed for individuals who may not be medically able to participate in full-day, intensive therapy. Subacute rehabilitation may also be recommended when a patient has met most of their goals in acute rehabilitation. Long Term CareLong term care exists for patients who cannot live independently. Most long-term care is to assist people with support services such as activities of daily living like dressing, bathing, and using the bathroom. Long-term care can be provided at home, in the community, in assisted living or in nursing homes. It is important to remember that you may need long-term care at any age. Learn More….
